Alfresco Restaurant
In Alfresco, it could be said that the kitchen gives rise to architecture. The restaurant occupies the ground floor of an office building in a financial district of Mexico City. In this space, originally lacking character, the aim was to create a Mediterranean restaurant with a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere, where each dish would consist of a few natural ingredients combined into a harmonious whole.
Thus, with just a few elements, the restaurant takes shape. Each one stands out while remaining integrated. There is a contrast of materials, colors, and textures: reclaimed brick, cast-in-place granite, and colored polished cement. A single wall generates all the spaces, bringing the dining area into contact with the outdoors—placing diners al fresco.
